Ancient Egypt: 97 % Desert and the World's Longest River

The Nile flows through the Sahara desert and enters the sea through a vast delta. It floods the valley in July, fertilizing the land and turning the countryside green. Man ventures into the desert only to exploit the stone quarries and the gold and copper mines.
